A while ago i was having problems keeping my mdb read
only, it would open up without being read only at random.
My solution was to turn it into an mde file. This solved
the problem of things being deleted, etc. The thing is
right now it still happens with the mde file. But the
only thing that can be changed is names of forms, reports,
and queries. Has anyone ever heard of this happening?
Can anyone help me fix it?

What do you mean by "read only"? Was the data read-only? The database
objects (i.e. the forms, reports, etc). And what, exactly, do you want to
do? Your post isn't very clear ...

Saving as an .mde file basically removes the source code and design features
of Access ... in order to make any changes in an .mde, you must make changes
in the original .mdb file and then resave that as an .mde ...
