Problems with Radeon 9600

Lately when playing games or on internet, my computer locks up, or I get the
dreaded "VPU recovery error". I've been using the latest drivers. I'm
wondering if the video card is going bad or maybe a power supply problem.
Any ideas?

Check the vid card fan.

thats possible - open the case and see if that helps - direct a desktop fan
into the case
will drop temperatures nicely. try the 4.12 drivers - just about the most
stable of all drivers in the
past 6 months.
