Hi, I have a problem wiht my pst file. I was having a
mmessage popping up ofently from "winwodr.exe" saying a
problem occurred, and after I clicked OK, the message form
closed up without saving the message. So I tried to repair
Office from the installing CD on the "Maintenance mode". I
choosed the option "repair errors in my Office
instalation" and I also choosed the option "restore my
shortcuts". After I restarted my computer, everything came
back normal, but when I opned Outlook, I found out it was
as how it has five months ago, so all the messages up to
now just disappeared, so I wanted to know how can I get
them back or how can I recover the .pst file as how it was
before I used the software to repair Office.
Thanks for any sugestions and help.

If you search your harddrive for *.pst and then browse to where your .pst
file is your may see an almost identical file which ends with .bak. If this
is a larger file size then chances are it contains the emails you are
missing.

1. Rename your .pst file to something else.
2. Rename you .bak file to the same name that your .pst was before you
renamed it.
3. Start Outlook and see if it has revealed your lost emails.

Hope that helps.
