Hello. I am running win 2000. i usually have my brother
mfc 7000fc running, but all of a sudden it just kind of
diassappeared. It was working fine, then when i trid to
print 2 secodns later, it said "no printers are
installed". I tried plugging in my lexmark optra R Series
and th ecomputer said it found it, but it couldnt install
it. So i go into control panel-> printers adn the only
icon there is "add printer". but when i click on it, it
gives me the error "Printer operation cannot continue due
to lack of resources. The print subsystem is
unavailable." What is going on? i downloaded all of the
newest win 2000 updates, and it still doesnt work. Can
any one hlep me please? I cannot work if my printer doesnt
work. Please let me know
Thanks

P.S. I am using Windows Terminal Services, i dont know if
that makes a difference, but in case it does, now you
know : )

Start the Print Spooler... from the command prompt type

net start spooler
(and hit enter)

Thank you for the advice. It made it so that when i tried
to print, it showed all of the printers i had installed,
but i couldnt select any of them. When i tried to add one,
I get the same "Printer operation cannot continue due
to lack of resources. The print subsystem is
unavailable." that i was getting before. What should i do
now?
