Problems with Printer on Windows XP

Chris

I have recently installed Windows SP pro onto my computer
and now for some bizarre reason, when I try and print
envelopes they are all in the wrong position. The printer
is a Canon Multipass C80 and has all the latest drivers
loaded, and I use envelope wizard in Word 97 to print the
envelopes. I have obviously tried changing paper types to
envelopes in Printer profile but to no avail. Canon have
been quite helpful but seem to think it's a problem with
XP, Microsoft don't give a hoot whilst safe & secure in
their ivory tower and of course as we all know their OS
never have bugs anyway!! Anyway thought that maybe some
of you clever and helpful people out there may have an
answer.

cheers,

Chris

Since the only printer driver Microsoft made was the Plain/Text printer
driver, you can't very well blame Microsoft.

Your problem is the result of either the printer driver (made by Canon) or
Word 97, made WAY before the Multipass came out.

Your choice is to either figure out the orientation in Word 97, or upgrade
to either 2000 or XP, both of which print the envelopes correctly.
