I saved a powerpoint presentation onto a USB drive and when it was opened on
another computer the formatting was all off. Headings were gigantic compared
to where I had saved them and everything just looked out of place. What
could be happening and how do I avoid it?

Hi Jana,

Which fonts did you use? Very importantly, are those same fonts on the 2nd
computer?

Sandy

Hi, Jana--try Tools/Options/click Embed True Type Fonts. If you choose to
embed all chars, file will be huge, so best to choose embed only chars in
use. Also, for sharing in the future...try to stick w/standard Windows fonts.
There are refs to this on the web. Good luck.

I believe the issue is probably with our font selection - Futura - which is
not necessarily a standard Microsoft Office font. Could this also be
happening because the text boxes are defaulting to what is set as far as
text/size on the master slide?

If it is just a matter of embedding the fonts - is there a way to embed to
the master so that the font is always an option with a certain template or do
you have to embed the font with each presentation?

OK! Embedding the fonts did fix the problem and I will take your suggestion,
Steve. Thank you to all who responded.
