Hi,
Has anybody out there ever had any problems with outlook
closing itself for no reason with no dr watson error no
event log nothing. Running outloop xp with no service
packs on nt4 service pack 6. Also another problem we seem
to be getting is that on certain messages outlook freezes
and consumes 100% of CPU and never allows you to look at
the message.

Would be grateful if someone has an idea of what might be
causing this. Not sure if it is relevant we are also
running McAfee virus scanner 7.01.

Many thanks,

Martin Parson.

It appears that I, too, am having this problem. I am running Office 2000 on a new XP machine. The problem seemed to begin after I loaded all the updates to Office 2000. As with the original posting, Outlook opens a window saying that it has a problem and needs to close. It does request to send an error report which I have allowed. Beyond this, there are no error messages. As yet, I have not been able to identify any specific operation that causes the problem. Outlook seems to run about two minutes after I start it and then dies even though I am not doing anything with it

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
