Hey guys I built myself a gaming computer last year for christmas and I have changed a lot since then. The most recent change is that I have now installed Windows 7 64 bit instead of the old Windows xp 32bit. However the annoying problem I am having now is that my web browsers, whatever i use always end up in an error every now and then, and ends up coming up with, 'internet explorer is not responding' or it will just stop working and I can't search for anything whilst its happening, almost as if the internet has been turned off.

However whilst this is happening i can quite happily play an online game on my computer/xbox so it can't be the internet cutting out, and I have no clue on what it could be? :S any suggestions?

Thanks for the help

Ermmm i have tried a variety, Internet explorer, Firefox, Chrome and they all seem to do the same thing by not responding, its just happened now and it just makes the whole web browser stop working whilst i can stay on MSN and chat, its frustrating!

Thats a wierd one, I know I get "Firefox is not responding" every so often, but that can usally be put down to addons/plugins. As for IE and Google Chrome, you would have to pay me to use them.
I would say install Ccleaner and give it a run to give your system a good clean up. Once you install it, select all the check boxes and give it a whurl and see what happens then.
Also try running your browsers without addons or plugins :D

If you "upgraded" from XP to W7, I would expect errors, more so than just with a browser, try ...

With FF, you do a similar thing as with IE, turn off or uninstall the add-ons ... don't ask me how, I don't use it.

Chrome, never had a problem with it, is my browser of choice, but I suppose, like above, you turn off any add-ons.

You not using Norton or Macrapie AV are you?
