problems with my task bar

can somebody help?
My task bar has just locked itself. Ive tried messing around with the taskbar manager but no luck. Does anybody know what might have caused this?

How do you mean lock up? Can you not do anything at all?

Thats right, when i click on something nothing happens. When i minimize into the task bar i can no longer click to get the window up. its just frozen.
i thought it might have been locked in the taskbar manager, but ive tried that and still no luck.
any ideas?
its very annoying
 
What were you doing when it locked up?

Your all upto date with the MS updates i take it?
 
Cubase is music making software aint it?

If i remember right it needs quite a powerful pc, i take it yours is up to the job?

Whats the spec? (CPU, RAM ect...)
 
ive uninstalled cubase now. (yeah its for music)
Is there anyway i can go back to my original settings?
Not sure what the spec is.
I run ableton and reason and it handles it all pretty well.
I think when i installed cubase it updated some of my windows settings. I know for sure that it installed windows media player 10.
I just dont understand why, the taskbar was fine thismorning. I try and install some software and it locks!!
 
XP should have made a restore point before installing Cuebase, you could try going back to before you installed it....

Dont always work though....
