problems with long url hyperlinks

Having just upgraded to FrontPage 2002, I can no longer
post long urls into the WYSIWYG view of FrontPage. If I
attempt do, FrontPage automatically truncates the
address. Even when I post the url directly into the html
view, it truncates it in Internet Explorer, though it
works in Netscape. (I notice that IE will truncate the
address at the first quotation mark within the search
result url address.) Has anyone found this problem and
worked through to a solution?

Can you post an example of a URL that gets truncated?

When pasting make sure that you have pasted directly from the browser's
Address bar so that no carriage returns are added.

Holy cow. I think that URL has more text than some of my web pages.

I believe that some browsers may have problems with overly long URLs, but I
don't know for sure. I think your safest bet is to paste the link directly
into the HTML.
