After installing the KB824141 security fix, I get an error
message when trying to launch one of our COM-servers,
reading something like this (translated from
swedish): "The system DLL kernel32.dll has been relocated
in internal memory. The program will not be able to run.
The relocation was caused by the DLL-file D:\WINNT\system32
\MPR.dll reserving address space intended for Windows
system DLL-files. Contact the supplier of the DLL-file to
correct this problem."

Has anyone else run into this problem? Does anyone know
how to fix it?

Hi!
We have been notified of the same error message on several customer sites
this morning, and have just started addressing it. The only way we have
found to solve it so far, has been to uninstall kb824141.

I've noticed another problem with this patch on two (very
different) machines. Both running SP3 but otherwise up to
date (SP4 seemed to cause random stability issues).

With KB824141 update installed Word97 is extremely
unstable - to the point where opening a picture object
within a document will cause Blue Screen of Death.

Most dissapointing. English versions of software all-
around.
