Problems with Kaspersky

I was using Panda Titanium which came pre-loaded onto my computer, but
removed it because of the ridiculous amount of notifications that popped up.
I switched to Kaspersky 5.0 which I had been using on my previous computer.
When I do a full system scan, the problem halts after aroudn 2%. I get a
BSOD with error message PFN_LIST_CORRUPT. From a google search I have sussed
that this is caused by either hardware or software incompatibilites. I only
got the computer at xmas and have only updated my gfx card drivers and
installed kaspersky. There were no crashes before this. I have uninstalled
kaspersky and reinstalled it, with the same problems. Has anyone else had
this problem?

Also is there any problems out there which will test all the software and
hardware and weed out the offending program (if it's not kaspersky)
