Problems with installing a Bluetooth mouse

Hey there
Ive been having some problems when Im trying to make XP
detect the Bluetooth mouse I have. The problem is
probably between the receiver and the mouse, because
whenever I press the connect button on the mouse, nothing
happens. Therefore I cannot install my mouse, even tho my
keyboard was detected without any problems. I have tryed
different receivers, different mouses but to no avail.

I found out that the batteries themselves were defected.
All of my batteries were. Some of the even leaked.
I put other brand of batteries after cleaning the mouses
of course :)
Thanks for your help tho.
