Problems with installation

Yesterday after installing BCM I ran into several of the problems discussed
here. I wish I had read them earlier -- I wouldn't have installed BCM. Anyway
the damage is done and now I'm looking for a way to undo it.

Currently the problem is an error message I receive upon booting...

"SQL Server could not find the specified named instance (MICROSOFTBCM) -
please specify the name of an existing instance on the invocation of
sqlsevr.exe.

If you believe that your installation is corrupt or has been tampered with,
uninstall then re-run setup to correct this problem."

Let me first say that I spent 3.5 hours on the phone with 5 different tech
supports last night. Finally at 2:30 am I had to give up.

I have tried to uninstall BCM 3 times unsuccessfully. To be honest I'm not
sure exactly everything that was tried last night, but now I am no longer
interested in using BCM - I just want to get rid of this error message.

Currently BCM is not showing up in Outlook so I think it is disabled.

Hi

Is there an icon in the system tray (looks like a computer with either an
arrow or an "X") for the SQL Server Service Manager?

if you go to Start > Run and Type "services.msc" (without the quotes) is
there a listing for MSSQL$MICROSOFTSMLBIZ?

It sounds like setup failed in the MSDE portion - am I correct
In add/remove programs is there a listing for Microsoft Office Small
Business Manager? If so, can you remove it from there?
