Problems with HP810C

I have an HP 810C printer. Every time printer is switched on it seems to
stall after about 10 secs. If left for at least a minute it will spit out a
blank page and be ready to print. If I press the purge button (which is
blinking) the blank page ejects and the printer is ready to print. All this
seems to have started when I upgraded to XP sp2. Any ideas?
