Problems with Fonts

I ran into a problem today on a powerpoint presentation. On my desktop it
looked fine but on the laptop the fonts turned out to be a little bigger.
Desktop running XP Pro SP 1 & the laptop is running XP Home. Both have XP
Pro Office with updates. The powerpoint was using "Arial" font but on the
laptop they seem a little bigger which cause some line to go into a seccond
line which messed up some layouts. I though Arial font would be the same.
Any idea why not?

Peter,

To determine what type of Arial font is in use, download the "Fonts
Properties Extension" tool from
http://www.microsoft.com/typography/property/property.htm?fname= &fsize=

When the tool is installed, you can just right-click on any font to find out
whether the fonts are similar or not. There is basically Arial and Arial
unicode, but there also may be 3rd party fonts, as well as other flavors of
Arial TrueType fonts. You may also find that your font is being substituted
for another font, perhaps because the original Arial font is corrupt.
