Problems with Flash Plug in

All of the sudden I am unable to access certain websites that require a flash
plug in because it is telling me I do not have it. I download it and it
installs just fine but when I return to the website I was trying to access I
am getting the same message telling me that I need to install the flash
plugin.

I installed IE 7.0 a couple of weeks ago but was getting all sorts of error
messages so I uninstalled it tonight. But I am still getting the same flash
plug in error.

Can anyone help me figure out what I need to do to correct this? One of the
sites that I access is www.sesamestreet.com/sesamestreet/elmosworld. My 2
1/2 year old daughter is devestated that we cannot get to it anymore.

Any thoughts/suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

You need to delete flash and reinstall. Go to
c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash and delete the contents of the 'flash'
folder. Go to the Adobe website and download and run the 'flash'
uninstaller. Now go to the adobe web site and download and reinstall
'flash'. Should solve your and your daughter's problem :-).

Download this and install offline with browser and any flash applications
closed.
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/ge...n95nt/10.1.4.020/Shockwave_Installer_Full.exe

After that go here and see if it identifies your version of Flash and
Shockwave.

If not, then you have some application blocking scripting or ActiveX.

I forgot to add the Shockwave installer might ask to install a Google or
Yahoo toolbar, just unclick that.

Very good.
My grandkids needed both Shock and Flash for most of the kids stuff.
Heck, I even enjoyed playing them.

|I finally figured it out. I installed a program called RegCure a few days
| ago. Well, everytime I run it it seems to either disable or corrupt the
| Active X plugin. So I have uninstalled that program and have asked for a
| refund. I followed the instructions that Edward W. Thompson gave me and
now
| it runs just fine.
|
| Thank you Mae and I will keep your suggestions handy in case I run in to
| this again.
