Hello Everybody
I have a Dell computer that came with XP Home edition.
This morning i upgraded it to XP Professional. However,
since then i am not able to configure my dial-up
connection. As soon as i reach to the window where wizard
asks for selecting a dial-up connection to connect to the
internet, i find it to be greyed out. Only the broadband
connection ( which is third in the list) option is
available. I tried with service centre of Dell, however
after trying for two hours to configure modem and then
repairing the Windows XP installation, the ball is back to
square one. Please some one let me know how to handle this
problem. Many thanks in advance for the help.

The problem that you're seeing is common when upgrading an XP Home
system that has previously had XP Service Pack 1 applied. The
solution is to re-apply XP Service Pack 1 after the upgrade.
