Hi,
I have been loking for a solution everywhere on the net but I found more
unanswered questions than solutions.
WMIDiags.vbs give me a numner of errors that look like this:
DCOM security for 'Microsoft WBEM UnSecured Apartment' (Launch & Activation
Permissions)................... MODIFIED
!! ERROR: Default trustee 'BUILTIN\ADMINISTRATORS' has been REMOVED!
** - REMOVED ACE:
** ACEType: &h0
** ACCESS_ALLOWED_ACE_TYPE
** ACEFlags: &h0
** ACEMask: &h1
** DCOM_RIGHT_EXECUTE
**
=> The REMOVED ACE was part of the DEFAULT setup for the trustee.
** Removing default security will cause some operations to fail!
** It is possible to fix this issue by editing the security descriptor
and adding the ACE.
** For DCOM objects, this can be done with 'DCOMCNFG.EXE'.
Ok, I fired up DCOMCNFG.EXE, went to Component Services - Computers - My
computer - DCOM Config
I did not find any entry for 'Microsoft WBEM UnSecured Apartment' there!
What is the solution, not counting a total reinstallation of Windows?
Kind regards
mjw
