Hi

I have a long doc created in Word that I have cut and paste int
Notepad, and then formatted to 50 character width with the online too
www.formatit.com . I now need to take this info and insert into anothe
document, however cannot widen the columns. I need to alter to a ful
page width.

I have tried to cut and paste back into Word and alter via format
column width, as well as via tables, but cannot make it work. The widt
remains constant.

A copy of the Notepad file I have been using is attached.

Any help greatly appreciated!

Regards

Bil

The problem is that you have a hard return at the end of each line, thus
each line is a separate paragraph. You need to remove the extra line feeds
to allow the document to flow - see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/CleanWebText.htm or try the Stripmail
utility linked from the doawnloads page of my web site.

Brillian Graham, the Stripmail worked beautifully! I have spent hour
having to reformat manually however this tool will do the job in
seconds flat from here on.

Congrats also on a great site. Some fantastic information!

All the best
