I have a new Vista computer with 4 GB memory. I'm trying to use Movie Maker
(6.0) that came with it and it is driving me crazy when trying to make clips
and add effects. I've captured a two-hour home video (as MPG) and it imports
fine into Movie Maker. Here are the problems I'm seeing:
Split fidelity - I can't seem to split a clip at the frame I want. It
always misses or adds a frame.
Trim clip - If I trim a clip by dragging the end point there are several
additional frames at the end when I publish it.
Burn to DVD - After burning to DVD using Windows DVD maker, the clips with
special effects (in this case, rotate 90 degrees) don't have them anymore and
the special effect shows up several seconds after the location it is in Movie
Maker
Help! Is Movie Maker just not good enough to do what I want? It seems like
pretty basic stuff.
