The banners at websites I go to doesnt appear. For
example the banner on the top and the one on the right in
the hotmail page. And it happens in other sites too.

I've formatted my pc once because of this, and it was ok.
But its happening again. I've contacted MSN, and they
couldnt come up with a solution.

I've set my internet security and privacy both to
default, changed my internet settings to default, I've
made sure SSL 2.0 and 3.0 were enabled, Run activex
controls and plugins is also enabled. I've done all these
solutions which MSN said, so far nothing. They asked me
to contact IE Support Staff.

If anyone knows what the problem is, please do let me
know. Will appreciate it a lot. E-mail me and i'll send u
printscreen shots if you want to see what it looks like.

Start > Find Files/Folders (may be hidden) for "HOSTS" or
"hosts" (no quotes), *if* found, rename to "NOHOSTS" or
"nohosts" (no quotes) - reboot.

Hi,

Thanks a lot. Its fixed after I did what i told you. I've
been communicating with MSN for over a month now i guess
because of this and had communicated over 10 e-mails, it
was really frustrating. Thanks again.

I'm having the same exact problem. No one seems to be
able to help me. Now that I see everyone is having
problems with IE V.6, I am wondering if we should all just
return to the previous version of IE and wait for version
7 to come out??

Thank you. I tried your bit of advice also.

Thank you, thank you, thank you..... a million times.
