Hi!

I use in our company Windows Messenger 4.6 as instant messanging.

Some of our clients experience problems to get connected to establish an
audio conversation. I have checked their Network Connections and there is
no "firewall" enabled.

What can be wrong? ports? network connections?

Moreover, clients of that same network can gain talk conversation access to
other clients. But the ones they needed to connect, they can not.
I mean, A, B and C are in the same network, if they try to connect each
other they can not. But if B sends a request to D in the same network it
gets connected.

They use Windows XP mostly.

What I can do for them?

Thanks
Marco

Not a direct solution, but I would personally recommend finding a different
chat client. For video conferencing I use Eyeball Chat which seems to cope
far better than MSN Messenger / Windows Messenger for these things. I was
also sick of the constant errors Messenger would give when trying to connect
with audio, video or desktop sharing.

Hello Marco..I am having the same problem..have you
recieved any help...(Sigh)...I can hear but no one can
hear me..The other person says I sound as if I am
growling at them...Very slow and growling sounds instead
of clear voice sounds..Help!!! KAY

Thanks Marco..I appreicate the prompt reply..Will try
that chat agent..Anything to reduce the frustration..

It makes no difference whatsoever. If you cannot get audio and tried every
suggested solution, forget it. It just doesn't work and Microsoft has no
idea why not, otherwise they would tell us. Wouldn't they?
