I have a small home LAN that I connect through a windows 2000 Pro
computer with 2 network cards.

I ran the ISP CD which seems to install some kind of extra adapter.
Everything works OK except I can't receive emails on the PC's on the
home LAN (also windows 2000)

Anyone got any ideas ?
Thanks - Del

This ISP (and as far as I know neither do any other) do not support
any kind of home LAN.

THere is no firewall and I know the mail client is configured
correctly because if you plug it straight into the router it works ok.

it is something to do with this ISP adapter.

If it is dsl, maybe you are talking about the pppoe connectoid. I had one
once and immediately bough a cheap nat router to use instead and things
worked much better. --- Steve

Do you mean you changed the router (hardware) or is this a software
thing ?

When I originally got dsl I had just the modem and had to use the software to install
the pppoe connection to access the internet. After about two days of that, I
purchased a Dlink dsl router and configured all of the information in the router and
then simply used it's dhcp to assign all tcp/ip info to my computers and never looked
back. --- Steve
