Don

I've just gotten a new (used) computer with Windows XP
and IE6.0. All of the jpgs (like on the home page of
usatoday.com) are fuzzy. I can make out the images but
they're not at all clear. I've tried reinstalling IE6 but
the problem persists. I can see images in Flash perfectly
fine and banner ads are clears. Just photos/jpgs

Thanks, Don V. I've tried looking at what you sent and
none of those solutions worked. The workaround they gave
for the third suggestion didn't work either. Any other
ideas or do I need to fork over some $$ to MS?

Don,
You won't be charged for the hotfix in
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=828682 if the support person determines
that the hotfix is appropriate to your situation and you do not raise any
other issues during the call.

Phoning Microsoft Product Support Services is the only way to get this
fix... so go ahead and call. ;-)

But... afterthought. Does your ISP compress images to speed up downloads?
Earthlink, AOL, NetZero and others have this feature. If you right click one
of those images, is there a "show full quality" option? Just wondering...

Don
