Hi,

I can no longer view the source of any page on the
internet. I've tested this on many sites including my own
personal site which allows the source of the page to be
viewed. Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
Thank you very much!

Kalika

If you have a shortcut to Notepad on the desktop rename it to something else
like Npad or else move it to the quick launch taskbar and remove the desktop
one.

There are a couple of other possible causes like temp internet files but the
Notepad shortcut seems to be common.

(Before you ask the answer is, I have no idea why).

There is an Internet Explorer Restriction that removes the View Source menu
option from IE menus and Context menus.
You can find the registry key for this at
HKCU and HKLM
Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions\NoViewSource

In any case you can enter the following command in your address bar to view
the source manually

view-source:http://www.somedomain.com/page.htm
or even
view-source:http//www.somedomain.com/scripts/include.js

Kalika,
There may be several reasons .........

1) If a shortcut exists on the Desktop for Notepad, rename it.
2) Some users have reported Quick View Plus to be the culprit?
[or]
Close all instances of OE and IE
Control Panel | Internet Options | General tab | Delete Files button
Also select the option: "Delete all offline files"
Then click the "Clear History" button, while you're at it ......
Reset the TIF cache size to 50 mb. Click Apply\Ok
