Can you tell me how to change all the row heights of a table that is filled
in with words and numbers.
Can you also tell me why I cant add a new row to a table by using tab at the
end, or insert in the middle part, what could be wrong and how to fix.
Can you also tell me why I would be unable to select a table cell, and how
to do this
Thank you

How would I be able to identify this? I inherited this and the tables dont
adjust. Can you tell me anything. Thx

Try this

Apply (temporarily) any custom animation

In the animation list it will say

table x

or

group x

Did that answer the question / help?

Select the "table." Click on "Draw" on the Drawing Toolbar. If "ungroup" is
available at the top of the menu, click it. Continue doing so until you
can't anymore -- or until you're prompted with something like "The selection
contains one or more tables. Would you like to convert them to PowerPoint
shapes?" If you see that, click No, and you should have a table somewhere on
the slide.

Rightclick where you want to insert a row; if it's a PowerPoint table, one of
the items on the rightclick popup menu will be Insert Rows. Choose that.

To change the row height, put your cursor over the line dividing one row from the
next; the cursor will change to a kind of double line with arrows top and
bottom; click and drag the line separating the two rows to the desired height.
You can't make it any smaller than a certain size that's determined by the size
of the text in the row. If you need a smaller row height, select the cells in
the row and make the text size smaller (even if there's no text)

Visually doesn't much matter when you're trying to add rows with a Tab.
That's why we're trying to figure out if you're working with an actual table
or with a bunch of shapes/lines.

The table cannot be identified as a table according to Steve's information
either. Any suggestions. Could this have started out as a table and somehow
been converted to shapes.

Yes. If the user got that prompt I mentioned earlier "would you like to
convert to PPT shapes" and answered "yes," you'd end up with shapes.

So to add a row, you'll have to add textboxes and place them appropriately.
It might be easiest to select the textboxes in the last row and press
Ctrl+Shift while dragging them downward. Ctrl+Drag will create a copy and
adding Shift constrains the copying to the same horizontal/vertical position

It sounds like you don't have a table or you have a table that's been ungrouped
(so it's not a table any longer .. just a collection of shapes).

If that's the case, you might be better off re-creating the table.
