I have two systems one is a desktop and the other is a laptop connected via a
wireless connection. Both are running Windows XP Pro. Both have drive sharing
enable and the drives are shared. Using workgroup and all systems have the
same login id and password.
From the laptop I can view the drives on the desktop OK. But from the
desktop windows prompts for userID and password. The userID is read only and
has the guest account in it. How can I change the user ID to the ID I need?
I have even enable the guest account and given it admin authory. Although it
gets further I still can not access the drives, error 'no authority'? Don't
want to use guest.
Any help would be appriciated.
Thanks
