I'm trying to network 2 PC's, one running XP
Professional, the other XP Home. After running the
Networking setup Wizard on both computers, I try to look
for my Workgroup and it says that I may have two
computers with the same name, which is not the case. (I
changed the names which didn't help).(Same response on
both PC's). Also, when running the Wizard on one computer,
it selects LAN as the best connection, but shows "1394
Connection" in the "Connect to your Network" box. Is this
right? I dissabled it but it was still selected when I
reran the Wizard.

do you have two NICs in the computer?

I do have some similar problem. But I only have one
Nectwork card on each computer. AOL also adds a "WAN
Connection" and it is selected each time you excecute the
wizard.

I still can not find the solution.
