I'm having problems searching for answers on this because I'm not sure
how to word it. Here's the situation:
Have an XP box with an HP printer attached via USB.
XP box is part of an NT 4 domain
I have set sharing on.
For the sharing permissions I have added these users with full rights:
localmachine/james
everyone
domain/james
I try adding the following:
domian/administrator
and give it full rights, apply, OK. When I open up the the printer
properties again, instead of domin/administrator it shows up with an
icon of a head with a ? over it and S-1-5 -more numbers.
I have come across this before but for the life of me cannot remember
the cause or the resolution.
Only happens on this machine so I don't believe it is the server that
has an issue.
Any suggestions are welcome!
