I'm having a problem when I try to send an email to anyone. When I click on
to: cc: or from: it just hangs and doesn't open any address book. Any help
or suggestions would be appreciated. This is on outlook 2003

Hi...

Try removing and re-adding the Outlook Address Book.

Go under Tools> Email Accounts> View or change existing Directories or
Address Book> and remove Outlook Address Book.
Once that is done, click Add and and re-add the Outlook Address Book.
Restart Ms Outlook and check out if it helps you out.
Note- Removing Outlook Address Book doesnt remove the Contacts. It is more
of a service which could have gone corrupted.

Thanks,

Mittu

Hi Mittu, i tried you're suggestion and it didn't work. This is outlook 2003
with SP1. This is so weird, whenever i try to create an email and then click
the to: field, nothing happens and it just hangs until i hit esc. I'm going
to try sp2 for outlook next. Thanks for trying.

Hi,

Try renaming frmcache.dat file and restart the machine. Check if Outlook
works fine w/o hanging.
Also, when it doesnt respond, does it throw any errors - Any report that
would be sent to MS? If so, look for a 'Mod Name' field in the error report.

Also, try opening Outlook by Start> Run> outlook /safe
Check if Outlook works fine in Safe Mode.

You could try creating a new profile in Outlook

Thanks,
