I'm trying to send a photo with an email but even when the photo (JPEG) has been reduced in quality (from about 500KB)and saved as 90Kb when I attempt to send the email with the attachemnt (or embedded picture) it tells me that the message is 11MB! Why is this
The photo is saved as a Ulead PhotoImpact 7 file and reads as 90Kb
In the past I have sent lots of photo's using this process and not encountered this problem, I can' t figure why it is happening now
Please help :-(

Waht version of Outlook and what e-mail format are you using?

I'm using Outlook 2002 and When the message is rich text it's about 11MB,
when it's HTML it's 4MB. i can't include pictures in plain text.

Just tried sending with Outlook as editor and, unfortunately, the problem persists!!...plus the picture looked awful!!

Are you sure you are sending in HTML format then? Otherwise; do you use any
add-ins in Outlook that could cause this behaviour?

Thanks, Road

I'm now in HTML with no MS Word use at all and this seems to be doing the trick
Any chance you could explain how the problem was caused
