Problems sending e-mail

At first WinMail was working great. Then I had the same problem as everyone
else with the mail getting "stuck" in the outgoing mail. I installed the KB
file for that and it fixed it... Occasionally it happens again and of course
the KB file does no good but I restart the computer and it works again for
deleting. BUT NOW I just can't send e-mail anymore... Error code 0x800CCC78.

Can anyone help with this problem? I never changed my settings and it worked
before...

What is the whole error message?
You could be using an address that goes with a different SMTP server (using
the email address for a different account).
You could be using a port blocked by your ISP when not using it's SMTP
server.

Okay, I fixed the problem with sending outgoing mail. It was blocked by ISP
and am using their "alternate" port as suggested. Now when I send mail to a
relative it I got these messages back:
Message 1 (the first time I sent after fixing outgoing problem)
Was the same as message one but included some sort of email address that was
similar to (e-mail address removed) or something.

Message 2 (which occurs whether I use WinMail or my isps mail site everytime
I try sending something to her.

Well, if you get the same bounce notice whether you send from
Windows Mail, or from your ISP's website, then it is not a Windows Mail
problem. There is something wrong with the recipient's email address.
The technical details you received are too skimpy to make a more detailed
analysis.
