problems searching from address bar

whenever i try to search from the address bar, it would
come up "Page cannot be displayed." if lets say i searched
for "clouds" it says "http:///? clouds" in the address
bar (w/out quotes of course.) anyway to fix this? i've
tried changind my search settings and reinstalling IE 6,
both to no avail.

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
