Hello Everyone,
I have been extremely excited about making videos w/MovieMaker and have done
6 or 7 projects to date. Some up to an hour, with music, 7.2 megapixel pics
and video. Recently, I sat down and created my latest, our recent cruise
vacation. It ended up being 47 minutes. During the process of creating my
video as I got further along in to it the program started to react extremely
slow, as if I did not have enough memory in my computer ( run 512k w/ 250 gb
hard drive). Anyway, when I completed the job I tried to save it so that I
could burn it to DVD. That process went extremely slow, but it did finish.
When I tried to burn the project I was given an error message after about 25
minutes that was NOT very specific. It basically said "MovieMaker cannot save
due to an error." The message gave no detail as to what kind of error. Well,
I tried going through the process again as this was the first time I had
encountered this problem. This time the video would not even save. It got to
98% and the same error message came up. I had even gone out and bought some
dual layer dvd's thinking that 4.5gb dvds were the problem, but now I can't
even save the video to burn it.
I need help.
I then created a second video which was 35 minutes and ran in to the same
problem. I went in and deleted some pictures which made the video 27 minutes
and it burned fine. I retried saving that same video last night that I was
already successful with and I started getting the same error message.
Should I try reinstalling MM?? Has anyone else experienced these problems?
If so, can you please share with me how to resolve this issue.
