Problems running 'regedit' and 'msconfig'

Recently, everyime I try to run 'regedit' and 'msconfig',
it will open up for a second then immediatly close
afterwards before I get to change anything. This is
really ticking me off, because I have a bunch of programs
I don't want opening on startup. It might be a problem
with a virus, but my virus detecting software isn't
finding anything.

Can anyone help?

w32.spybot worm disables NAV, Msconfig, Regedit and Task Manager:

Try this to:

Rename regedit.exe to regedit.com then:

Download then Merge the edit on line 251 then delete all the files mentioned
in the above link.
