I am running Windows XP Home Edition, with NSW 2003 antivirus and firewall.
I have a cable internet connection. Lately, when I go to print something,
the computer basically freezes (Microsoft Word or whatever program, even
pictures). I can see the hard drive light flickering like it is working.
Sometimes, it will eventually print. Most of the time, I have to shut it
down and reboot. Task manager will hardly ever come up to end program. If
it does, it takes and exceptionally long time to get there. All critical
updates and antivirus are up to date. Any suggestions??

Thanks!!

Did this start after the installation of your Norton System Works 2003
application? Do you have more than one printer installed and available to
the system?

How is the printer connected? WinXP and parallel ports don't play nicely
