We have recently attained new computer equipment which was preloaded with XP, Every so often one cannot print for some reason. I did a test and reloaded one Xp machine with Win 2000 and all is working fine, any suggestions?

Please assist.

Is the printer connected to a print server or is it connected directly to an
XP workstation? If the printer is connected to a print server you'll want
to make sure that the correct drivers are present on the server. If the
server is Win NT or Win 2K you'll want to make sure that the same driver is
approved for both Win 2K and Win XP.

Is this a rights issue? Do all individuals have rights to the printer? If
some users can add the printer and others can not access it, you may have a
rights issue.

Win XP has excellent trouble shooting wizards that might help. If you
select start/help you can find the wizards.

Kind Regards,
