problems printing from powerpoint.

When I try and print from Powerpoint 97 I get this error...

PowerPoint found an error it can't correct. You should
save the presentation, quit, and then restart PowerPoint

I've tried reinstalling powerpoint and office 97... any
thoughts or ideas?
 
What is on the first slide? Have you tried deleting the first slide and
recreating it? Does the problem still occur?
