Hi,

Several of my colleagues have tried posting messages on to the site i built
on the discussions page, however have come up with the message "The page
cannot be found". I've uploaded the whole local website onto the remote
website, this includes the _disc1 folder that holds the tocproto.htm.

Is there anything else thats making this message appear and not the
anticipated results?

What page cannot be found?

Did you FTP the files, or HTTP publish - if FTP then it is likely that
the missing file is _derived/nortbots.htm, which contains an error
message that says you need to http publish to a server with FrontPage
extensions.

Can you provide a link?

Thanks Ron. If the _derived file is important, should it be loaded into the
remote web site? The question of FP Server Extentions would have to be with
the web server I'm using, right?

For the missing file, I've located the _derived file in the site folder in
Explorer but can't seem to locate the same in the local web site on
Frontpage, its neither in Folders nor Remote Web site view. Should I just
drag and drop from Explorer into Folders in Front page...if it is important
to be included?

The _derived folder is *always* hidden in FrontPage. nortbots.htm is an
error message - if that is the missing file
you need to find out why that error is being displayed.

If you provide a link to the discussion web we can suggest where to look
- but the FrontPage discussion web attracts spammers so if you do not
want to make the link public, use the Contact link on my site below.
