(I am trying to move my personal folder from a desktop to a laptop, both have
Outlook 2003. I copied the Outlook.pst file to a CDR, but when I try to
import it in Outlook on the laptop, I get a message that says "File Access
Denied" You do not have the permission required to access the file". I
tried copying it to the laptop hard drive from the CDR, I cleared the "Read
only" checkbox), but I get another error message "Cannot copy Outlook.
(cyclic redundancy check)"

I also downloaded the backup program for Outlook 2003 on the desktop and it
has not been able to backup the file either, saying access denied.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is a corrupt file. How did you create it? Did you export it instead of
copying it?
You should not be exporting or importing. What happens if you just try to
open the file?

1. NEVER import a .pst file - Use File->Open->Outlook Data File.
2. If on a CD, move it to your hard drive (do NOT overwrite the current
..pst file) and remove the read-only attribute.
