I keep getting this message each time I try to load a game
onto my computer. Please advise as to what it means and
how to correct it.

Integer divide by zero at address 0x48b406. Please submit
the .log and .err files to tech support.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Hi ASwanton,

Divide by Zero errors interestingly enough can be caused by
out dated video drivers. Try updating your drivers using the
instructions at: http://mvps.org/nibblesnbits/Video.html#drivers

Other solutions for the Divide by Zero error are as follows:

1. Reinstall the game with antivirus programs shut off.

2. Look for a patch from the manufacturer's web site or from
www.fileplanet.com and/or www.gonegold.com/patches/
These errors are very often caused by a bug in the program.

3. Some older Sierra games generate that error during install
due to hardware tests on non-Pentium computers. In this
situation, choose NO when prompted to test the hardware.

At this point, if you're sure it's not a bug in the game code, or want to
eliminate the possibility that it's something to do with your system, let's
test for memory problems, and software issues. Here's how...

4. Test your RAM using: http://www.memtest86.com/memt30.zip
after you extract that zip file, click on the README.txt file for the
instructions on how to create the boot floppy to test your RAM.

5. Allow Windows to control your pagefile at a "system managed size".
Be sure there's enough space for the pagefile size to = 1.5 * your RAM
Bonus Tip: Set the pagefile to it's own partition or hard drive if possible.
References: http://aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.php is a good site about this as is:
http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsXP/expertzone/columns/mcfedries/03june16.asp

6. Do the first 4 steps at: http://mvps.org/nibblesnbits/Troubleshooting.html

Hope that solves the error for you! If you skip any steps, as is normal when
anyone wants to find a solution and don't feel a step applies to their situation,
make sure to go back to that step afterwards in case it might be the solution. :-)
