Problems keeping the thin line widths when printing in PowerPoint

We have just up-graded to Office 2007 and when I print large prints when
using PowerPoint the thin linework will not print as seen on the monitor.
This also happens when saving as PDF's.
All the lines thinner than 1pt (0.25pt, 0.5pt and 0.75pt) prints out at 1pt.
Is there any way I can get the printed lines as they were formatted?

First, the bad news. This is a known bug.

Then the good: It seems to be fixed in the just-released Service Pack 2 (SP2).
