Problems in sending mail

Getting the following "Over Quota" msg when sending emails. My inbox is
empty, as is sent mail, deleted items etc. Could anyone shed any light on how
to stop this error ?

What is the part of your email address beyond the @? hotmail, gmail etc.

Check your account settings to see if you are set to leave a copy of each
message on the Server, it could be the Server mail box that is full?

Tools>Accounts>select your account>Properties button>Advanced tab.

If you need to keep recent messages on the server so that you can get them
via another Computer or mobile device, then set a reasonable number of days
to delete them.
