I'll be the first to admit I am not the most computer-
literate person so if my question leaves me looking
foolish, then so be it. I am having difficulties
importing .avis into my MM2, but not with all avis. When
I try to import episodes of television shows I have
recorded on my PC and then compressed with virtualdubb,
it will pop up with an error and shut down my MM. But it
has no problem importing high-quality DVD rips or
episodes I haven't compressed. Can anyone think of a
solutions?

Thank you very much.

Hi Courtney,

It's a codec issue.... check Virtual Dub when saving a movie to AVI what
codec it is using, and change it to the one that works..

Get GSpot, a free utility, and use it to look at your AVI files, to see
which codecs work and don't. There's a link on my Setup > Software page.
