Problems Gaining Access to Shared Resources

I just set up a wireless network (peer to peer). I have
two computers, one running Windows 98 the other one
running Windows 2000. I am able to access the Windows 2000
computer from the Windows 98 but not vice versa. I get the
following message when trying to access the Windows 2000
PC: " You must supply a password to make this connection."
I never really set up a password (that I recall) on the
Windows 2000 computer to share resources. So basically, I
can't get passed this point because of the password
inquiry. I read something regarding not being able to
access the shared portions of the Windows 2000 computer
from a Windows 98 computer due to user restrictions. Also,
that I would probably have to setup user permissions. I
went to My Computer (on the Windows 2000 computer) then
highlighted the C: drive (which I want to share)and then
to sharing. On the sharing tab, I clicked on permissions
but I get the following message: "This has been shared for
administrative purposes. The permissions cannot be set."
Not sure why I get this message and not sure if I have to
go here in the first place. Just trying different things
to fix my problem. I also read that I could probably get
around this problem by having the Windows 2000 computer
access the files from the Windows 98 machine. However,
this does not really work for me due to logistics. Can
someone help or direct me to the right place? I will
greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Make sure all computers are in the same workgroup and that all useraccounts
exist on all computers. Got File- and printersharing loaded?
