I have scoured this group for insight on this problem to no avail:
I have noticed a lot of individuals having problems filling forms on
IE5 and 6. I too have problems but not with lagging or hanging. I
have a problem with refreshing of explorer windows. It doesn't matter
if it is Windows Explorer or IE. I can be filling a form test box on
my favorite site and every three seconds or so the window refreshes and
I loose my cursor. I then have to quickly click my cursor back into
the text box and begin typing again knowing I only have about three
seconds before it happens again.
The same thing happens when using the address bar on Windows Explorer
or IE. If I begin to type an address in the window I may get as far as
"www" before the window defaults and the entire address gets
highlighted. Unless I am paying close attention, I type right over
what I had completed leaving me with ".goog" or "le.com". If I happen
to be really fast I can get it all in.
I am relatively certain the problem has to do with the
c:/windows/system/explorer.exe program because when I go to the task
manager and "end" "explorer.exe" IE reverts back to normal operation
until I go and restart explorer.exe.
In ideas?
