When trying to export tables to a .dbf I received an error message that I was
using an illegal name. The table an related .dbf had six letters... all
looked OK. In fact I had performed the exact operation the previous day. As a
test I imported a .dbf and tried to export the newly created table. Error
message on the export not import. "Repairing" Office did not help but
"Install" did. I was running under Fusion on a Mac. Is this just a fluke or
is there a perpetual risk? Are there fixes or preventions less intrusive than
"Install".
