Problems Downloading W2K SP4

I'm now in the process of rebuilding my Thinkpad system
(harddrive failure) running Win2000 Professional. When I
run SP4Express executible off my harddrive it consistently
fails with a 'connection with the server could not be
established'.

The error message implies that there are alternative
(besides ordering the CD for $10) ways to do this update,
but I have been unable to locate it. Are there
alternatives here?

I've always had better luck downloading the network version of the SP4
package rather than the express version. The network version is the entire
package and no connection to servers are required:
http://www.microsoft.com/Windows2000/downloads/servicepacks/sp4/download.asp

Be prepared for a 129MB download.
