Hi,

I've just put together my first website using Frontpage
2002. Its a photography based website and there for I have
made use of the Picture Gallery feature. I have noticed
that all though the photos look find on my pc, when I go
to view the website on the internet I find that
occasionally where there should of been a photo an X is
displayed. I thought perhaps there was actually something
wrong with the photo file but as far as I can tell non of
the files are corrupted. If I remove the photo from the
gallery then regenerate the gallery and then reintroduce
the photo again and upload the return every thing seems
fine. I've recently noticed that even a photo that I have
dragged and dropped on the the relevant webpage has this
problem of disappearing.

Is this a bug with the Frontpage programme or a problem
with my ISP server? This is a big headache for me.

One another topic, is there anyway to have a hit counter
on my webpage? I have tried the ones that Frontpage
produces but as my ISPs server does not accept Frontpage
extensions it will not operate. Are there any alternatives?

My website can be found at;

Emmanuel

Hi;

I often use pictures in front page, what I suggest is try
to use only jpeg graphic format they seem to be more
reliable with frontpage, also try updating or changing
your browser and dont use the original graphic instead use
the option in fronpage to make thumbnails out of the
original so tat you use the smallest file possible with
the least quality loss. Finally you may want to use
microsoft photo draw or another popular graphics and
editing program such as adobe.

For years I have been using a counter from
http://counter.bloke.com/

You choose the colors and style and the code is generated for pasting into
your page. I just open the page in FP, then hit the HTML tab and paste the
code in the appropriate place. These counters are easy to use and merely
add a tiny link back to bloke.com You can sign up for multiple accounts
for use on different sites.
